Our client is seeking a civil engineer to join our growing consultancy, complementing the structural team and establishing the civil team in its early stages to expand their capacity for commercial, domestic, and industrial engineering solutions. This is a great opportunity to be involved in growing the team, while receiving support and guidance from the company director. The company is located in Attleborough, Norfolk, between Thetford and Norwich on the A11 corridor, making commuting easy, and offering hybrid and flexible working arrangements to maintain a good work-life balance. We are looking for an experienced, high-calibre, and motivated engineer looking for their next challenge. The ideal candidate will be able to take on a leading role on projects with a growing client base, delivering projects across the East of England and nationally. The workload offers a wide variety, including structural surveys, inspections, due diligence, and alterations to existing buildings. We work closely with our clients to ensure they receive excellent service, while maintaining the highest standards of communication and staff training to meet industry demands.


Responsibilities include providing structural engineering services across a range of sectors and projects, with exposure to diverse sectors and projects. After an initial onboarding period, the candidate will work independently with support from the team. The role allows an engineering enthusiast to continue designing while also managing the team.


About the Job:
This is a full-time, permanent role for 32 hours per week as we transition to a 4-day working week.

About the Candidate:
Ideal candidates will have a civil/structural engineering background in the design of civil and structural assets for a consultancy or contractor, and experience with quality assurance regimes.
